More retailers are expected to use MPOS systems by 2017

Over the next several years, more retailers worldwide could enjoy the benefits of accepting online payments. According to an April 2013 ReportsnReports study, researchers noted that the number of mobile point of sale (MPOS) systems is expected to increase to 38 million in 2017, up from 4.5 million in 2011. Additionally, the analysis revealed that many larger, brand-name retailers have already adopted these solutions, and rivals could consider MPOS solutions to keep up with the competition.

Market Research Reports also discovered that MPOS platforms could soon impact more vendors around the globe. Because the solutions are user-friendly and can help firms gain a competitive advantage over rivals, big and small retailers could consider the systems to noticeably improve their interactions with clients. Meanwhile, customers can use MPOS solutions to complete transactions without delay, and merchants may invest in systems that enable patrons to make credit card or debit card purchases with their mobile devices.

The global economy's recovery from the recession of the late 2000s will further affect vendors' decisions and may lead many of these merchants to use MPOS platforms. If more retailers have additional available resources, these merchants could implement MPOS systems to extend their reach.
